about eliza jouin
Eliza Jouin is a Brooklyn-based photographer and creative director whose work examines darkness and the emotional terrain of the in-between. Rooted in queer experience and non-binary identity, their practice is shaped by an attunement to fluidity, shadow, and spaces that resist fixed boundaries.
Their photography spans portraiture, music, and fashion, and they have photographed artists including Doechii and Lola Young. Jouin’s work has appeared in V Magazine, Highsnobiety, Paper, and more. They have personally appeared in Vogue, with additional features in the New York Times and Office Magazine highlighting their personal style.
They hold a BA in Gender Studies through Visual Media from Barnard College of Columbia University. Jouin continues to expand a body of work rooted in queer collaboration, somatic intuition, and the aesthetic possibilities of darkness and ambiguity.
